South Fork Trail Head to Horse Meadows: Distance 1.2 miles; Elevation change of 480 feet, from 6,880 to 7,360 feet.
Horse Meadows to Poopout Hill: Distance 1.0 miles, 2.2 miles overall; Elevation change of 480 feet, from 7,360 to 7,840 feet.
Poopout Hill to South Fork Meadows: Distance 1.6 miles, 3.8 Miles overall; Elevation change of 560 feet, from 7,840 to 8,400 feet.
South Fork Meadows to Dollar Lake: Distance 1.7 miles, 5.5 Miles overall; Elevation change of 1,150 feet, from 8,400 to 9,550 feet.
Getting There: Follow State Route 38 out of Redlands up towards Big Bear. About 8 miles past Angelus Oaks look for Jenks Lake Road. Turn right onto Jenks Lake Road and follow the road for another 3.5 miles to get to the South Fork Trailhead
Fees and Permits: A Wilderness Permit is required for this hike. as is an Adventure Pass
